The Upper Deck 2009 NFL Rookie Touchdown Dance Challenge video is getting viral and has more than 68,000 views in less than a week. It is currently the No. 68 most viewed sports video in the U.S. and the No. 65 most viewed sports video in Canada. It has been favorited more than 85 times currently. Additionally, a version that came from the Upper Deck blog has been viewed more than 7,000 times as well.

 Clips of the video were also featured on ESPN’s “Sportscenter” on May 29 and 30th of last week. Highlights also appeared on the “Best Damn Sports Show” on June 2. Upper Deck is currently working on two other videos from the excerpts taken at the Rookie Photo Shoot that will air in the coming weeks, including a Top 10 countdown of the best touchdown dances that we think may be even more popular than this compilation video.

 “Besides getting our brand name out there in a viral way, it was important for us to help draw attention to these rookies and their personalities before the start of the season, said Chrsi Carlin, Upper Deck’s sports marketing manager. “If we can help sports fans and collectors fall in love with them before they even hear a whistle, it is beneficial for our early season NFL products and more importantly, for retailers selling them.”
